Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bob Hugin is running a new positive ad on network TV in the New York and Philadelphia markets and on New Jersey cable channels highlighting his service as a Marine and his desire to reach across the aisle to find bipartisan solutions.

Hugin: “I served my country in the Marine Corps. And in the Marines, it’s not about Democrats or Republicans it’s about working together. That’s what we need more of in Congress.  That means being a different kind of Republican. I am pro-choice, pro-marriage equality, and strongly support equal pay for equal work. Politicians would rather point fingers. I will be different.  I will lead. It’s time to send in a Marine.   I’m Bob Hugin and I approve this message.”

The ad also includes a quick cameos by former governors Thomas Kean and Christine Todd Whitman.

“Our two new ads outline the very clear contrast in this race.  Bob Hugin will be a different kind of Republican, and work with people in both parties to make New Jersey more affordable, restore honesty and integrity to government, and get our fair share from Washington.  He will be a Senator that New Jersey can be proud of,” said Hugin Communications Director Megan Piwowar.
