Daughter of ex-assemblyman dies

Sherrill Carbonetti, whose father served as an assemblyman from Bergen County in the 1960’s, died on May 13.  She was 87.  He father, Herbert Mallet, was elected to the Rutherford borough council in 1949, mayor in 1959, and to the New Jersey State Assembly in 1963.

Robert Murphy, a former Northvale councilman, died on May 21.  He was 96. Murphy began his political career as school board member in the 1960s and served on the council in the 1970s before losing renomination in the 1978 Democratic primary.  He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Jessie Eisel, a Shrewsbury resident whose father, Montgomery Fletcher Crowe, served in the Pennsylvania State Senate from 1938 to 1954, passed away on May 16.  She was 95.
