New Menendez web ad ties Hugin to Trump, McConnell, others

Sen. Bob Menendez’s campaign released a new web ad Tuesday attemping to link Bob Hugin to President Donald Trump, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan, among others.

The ad highlights says Hugin cannot hold certain policy positions the candidate has staked, like being pro-choice, while having a history of giving to Republican politicians, though the ad does not mention any specific contribution totals.

“Bob Hugin can say he’s a moderate until he’s blue in the face, but if you just follow how he spends his money to influence Washington, it’s clear he’s another Trump-Republican,” said Menendez for Senate Communications Director Steve Sandberg.
