Gottheimer has $5 million in bank

Rep. Josh Gottheimer has $5,059,282 cash-on-hand as of September 30, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.

The freshman Democrat from New Jersey’s 5th district raised $1,084,905 during the third quarter and has raised $6,191,577 total.

Gottheimer defeated seven-term Republican Rep. Scott Garrett by a 51%-47% margin in 2016 in a district that supported Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton by a 48%-47% margin.
