Malinowski outraises Lance 4-1 in Q3

Democratic challenger has raises more that double the incumbent congressman

Democrat Tom Malinowski is crushing Rep. Leonard Lance (R-Clinton) in fundraising, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Malinowski has raised $4,777,363 in his bid to unseat Lance in New Jersey’s 7th district, including $2,266,393 in the third quarter of 2018.

A five-term incumbent, Lance has raised $2,101,266 for his 2018 re-election bid.  He brought in $562,830 in Q3.

Lance has $1,032,461 cash-on-hand as of September 30, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission, while Malinowski’s warchest is at $909,216.  Lance campaign also has a debt of $106,716.

Two public polls have show the race to be close, within the margin of error.
