Rep. Leonard Lance (R-Clinton) enters the summer with less money than his Democratic challenger after raising a quarter of what Tom Malinowski raised between May 17 and June 30, and has nearly $500,000 less in his warchest than his opponent.
Lance, a five-term Republican congressman from New Jersey’s 7th district, raised $301,267 during the most recent reporting period, compared to $1,088,484 for Malinowski, a former Assistant U.S. Secretary of State under President Obama.
Malinowski has $1,634,717 cash-on-hand, while Lance has banked $1,159,874.
So far, Malinowski has outraised Lance overall. Lance has raised $1,543,626 this cycle, while Malinowski has brought in $2,315,868.
Lance is also carrying a campaign debt of $63,015, according to his most recent filing with the Federal Election Commission.
