Former Assistant Secretary of State Tom Malinowski’s campaign bashed Rep. Leonard Lance over his support of House Speaker Paul Ryan a day before the Republican leader comes to the state to Stump for Assemblyman Jay Webber and fundraise for Lance and Rep. Tom MacArthur.
“Leonard Lance is a dependable Republican vote in Congress. He votes with them 90% of the time and is endorsed by the Tea Party. Paul Ryan can rely on Lance supporting his priorities,” said Benji Schwartz, Malinowski Communications Director. “That’s why Ryan’s super PAC has already spent more than 3 million dollars on advertising to protect Lance’s seat. But his dishonest ads aren’t working, so now he’s here himself to prop up Lance’s anemic fundraising efforts.”
The Congressional Leadership Fund, a super PAC with ties to Ryan, has aired ads targeting Democratic candidates in the state, including Malinowski and MacArthur challenger Andy Kim.
The PAC’s ads against Malinowski claimed the candidate lobbied for terrorists’ rights when he worked for Human Rights Watch.
