House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has endorsed Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff) for re-election in New Jersey’s 5th district.
“When Congressman Josh Gottheimer won this District, he was able to break a decades-long Republican run in the seat,” Pelosi said. “From health care to women’s rights, Josh’s leadership in Congress is critical in our fight for our shared values.
Gottheimer faces a primary challenge from Glen Rock Councilwoman Arati Kreibich.
“We need Josh’s voice in Congress, and that’s why I’m so proud to endorse him,” said Pelosi.
House Democratic Conference Leader Hakeem Jeffries also endorsed Gottheimer today. Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Massachusetts) came out in support of Kreibich.
