Morris GOP sets election site

Robert Zwigard and Ronald DeFilippis will face off in a race for Morris County Republican chairman on Tuesday, according to a meeting notice sent out by the outgoing chair, Patti Page.

The notice appears to supersede one sent by page to Chatham Republican leaders three weeks ago.  The election is now set for 8PM on June 12 at the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel.

“To vote, all elected members must bring his/her certification letter from the town clerk and photo identification. Only municipal committee members duly elected on June 5, 2018 as certified by the clerk and those duly appointed by June 11, 2018 who reside in the district that they represent shall be eligible to vote. There is no voting by proxy. We ask that each municipal chair provide a list to the Morris County Republican Committee by June 11, 2018 so we know who is eligible to vote,” the notice said, outlining the eligibility of county committee voters.
