Zwigard releases massive list of endorsements

Morris GOP Chairman candidate becomes front-runner

Rob Zwigard has released a massive list of endorsements in is campaign for Morris County Republican Chairman, including four legislators, five freeholders, Sheriff James Gannon, and nineteen mayors.

“Since announcing my intention to run for Morris County Republican Chairman, a great number of elected county officials, Town Mayors, as well as other notable Morris County Republicans have come on board to endorse my candidacy.  I am humbled, encouraged, and appreciative of their support,” said Zwigard.

Besides Gannon, Zwigard has the backing of State Sen. Anthony Bucco (R-Boonton); Assemblymen Michael Patrick Carroll (R-Morris Township) and Anthony M. Bucco (R-Boonton); Assemblywoman Betty Lou DeCroce (R-Parsippany); Freeholders Douglas Cabana, Heather Darling, Kathy DeFillippo, Tom Mastrangelo and Deborah Smith; and mayors Tom Andes of Denville, Bob Alviene of Butler, Marcia Asdal of Chester Township, Paul Carelli of Riverdale, Bill Chegwidden of Wharton, Tom Donadio of Boonton Township, Frank Druetzler of Morris Plains, Russ Felter of Jefferon, Ron Francioli of Hanover, Robert Greenbaum of Mount Olive, Russ Grueter of Rockaway Borough, Peter Mancuso of Morris Township, Sam Morris of Mine Hill, Joe Nametko of Netcong, Curt Ritter of Chatham Township, Michael Stanzilis of Mount Arlington, Mark Taylor of Florham Park, Catherine Winterfield of Pequannock, and Chris Yates of Harding.

John Sette, who served as Republican County Chairman for sixteen years, is also supporting Zwigard.

Morris County Republicans will meet the week after the primary to replace outgoing County Chair Patti Page.  Zwigard faces Morris County GOP Finance Chairman Ron DeFilippis..
