Atlantic County Freeholder Ernest Coursey will seek re-election to a third term in his District 1 seat.

“I am proud of my record and would like the opportunity to continue to work on behalf of the citizens and taxpayers of Atlantic County,” said Coursey.

Coursey served as an Atlantic City councilman for eleven years, and served as an aide to U.S. Senator Bob Torricelli and as a Commissioner of the South Jersey Transportation Authority.

District 1, which includes Atlantic City, Pleasantville and part of Egg Harbor Township, is considered safe for Democrats.  Coursey ran unopposed in the 2016 general election.
