Levinson will seek re-election

Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson announced today that he will seek re-election to a sixth term.

Levinson’s announcement has been expected and he will face no opposition at the upcoming Atlantic County GOP convention.

“There is much we have accomplished, but still more we want to do,” said Levinson. “We will continue to make the most of our opportunities and keep the best interests of our residents our first priority.”

A fixture in Atlantic County politics since he won a Northfield city council seat in 1981, Levinson spent fourteen years as a freeholder before winning before wining a race for county executive in 1999.

“Atlantic County has exercised foresight in planning for our future and that of our children and grandchildren so they may be able to stay and thrive in Atlantic County,” stated Levinson.
