Estrada won’t seek re-election

Union County Freeholder completing 7th term

Seven-term Union County Freeholder Angel Estrada announced today that he won’t seek re-election this year, creating an open seat on the all-Democratic board.

Estrada, an Elizabeth Democrat, was first elected in 1999.

The seat us expected to go to another Elizabeth candidate.
