Republican challengers in the 38th district launched their first ad this week.

The 45-second attack ad doesn’t mention aired by Rochelle Park Mayor Michael Kazimir and Paramus Councilman Chris DiPiazza doesn’t mention their opponents, Assemblywoman Lisa Swain and Assemblyman Chris Tully, by name.

It instead attacks Gov. Phil Murphy.

“High taxes, more spending, our neighbors fleeing New Jersey. Radical Phil Murphy and Trenton Democrats only know two things: Raise our taxes and spend more of our tax dollars,” DiPiazza says in the ad. “We know there’s a better way.”

The spot will run on TV and digital platforms through election day.

Other Republicans in the state have taken a similar line against Democratic incumbents, focusing their attacks of Murphy and his policy priorities.
