Democratic incumbents in the 11th legislative district launched their third ad this week.
The 30-second spot, which will air on New York and New Jersey cable networks, focuses on Priscilla Lane, a 77-year-old Tinton Falls resident, and her use of the Senior Freeze program.
“The Property Tax Freeze means that people like me can stay in their homes and retire with dignity,” Lane says in the ad. “I love Eric and Joann. They’re doing such a great job.”
In 2017, Houghtaling and Downey sponsored a bill that changed the Senior Freeze from a rebate on property tax bills to a credit on the same.
The two Democrats highlighted the measure in a previous ad.
The incumbents face challenges from former Hugin for Senate staffer Matthew Wooley and Freehold Township Board of Education President Michael Amoroso.
