State Sen. Sandra Cunningham hasn’t decided whether or not she’ll back the tax on millionaires proposed by Gov. Phil Murphy.
“I’m up in the air,” she told the New Jersey Globe Thursday.
The proposal will likely be a point of conflict during this year’s budget negotiations.
Senate President Steve Sweeney and Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin have said they oppose the measure, though they agreed to a watered-down version to avoid a government shutdown during last year’s budget fight.
That version created a new tax bracket for those making more than $5 million per year.
