Jerrel Harvey joins Murphy staff

By David Wildstein, January 21 2020 3:19 pm

Jerrel Harvey is moving from the South Jersey Democratic world to Gov. Phil Murphy’s staff.

Murphy has named Harvey as his new deputy press secretary.  He is replacing Matt Saidel, who left his job last week and is relocating to Chicago.

Harvey joins the governor’s staff from the 2nd legislative district, where he served as communications director for Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo (D-Northfield) and John Armato (D-Buena Vista).  He is a former deputy chief of staff to Assemblywoman Carol Murphy (D-Mount Laurel) and worked on the 7th district Democratic campaign in 2017.

He lives in Voorhees.
