Democrat Mikie Sherrill has begun airing her first general election campaign ad, “NAVY,” which will air on cable and digital, introduces her as a U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, federal prosecutor and mother of four.
The Sherrill campaign calls it a “six-figure ad buy.”
“For decades the people of New Jersey have been footing the bill and paying the price of Congress’ inability to work in a bipartisan manner with input from both parties,” said Sherrill, candidate for New Jersey 11th Congressional District. “That’s why I’m running for Congress. We need new leadership in Congress and leaders who will put partisan politics aside to get the job done for families and the communities they serve – especially here in New Jersey.”
Sherrill faces Republican Assemblyman Jay Webber (R-Morris Plains) in the race for retiring Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen’s open 11th district seat.
