Stafford Mayor John Spodofora, a Republican, has endorsed Democrat Joe Mangino to succeed him.
Mangino faces Greg Myhre, who defeated Spodofora in the June Republican primary.
”I’m extremely disgusted with the entire political process,” Spodofora said.
The Sand Paper, a weekly newspaper in Stafford, was the first to report the story.
