Assemblyman Jay Webber (R-Morris Plains), the GOP candidate for an open House seat in New Jersey’s 11th district, declined on Monday to release a ballpark fundraising figure for the recently-concluded FEC reporting period.
“We’re still tabulating,” he said when asked to share a fundraising total, repeating the statement when asked twice if he could share a preliminary figure.
Prior to this latest reporting period, which ended on Sept. 30, Webber had $171,721 in his war chest, with $574,410 raised during the cycle.
Mikie Sherrill, his Democratic opponent, had roughly $2.9 million on hand, with about $4.2 million raised during the race.
