Van Drew wins Salem County endorsement

Salem also backs Menendez for re-election

Salem County Democrats voted to give their organization line to State Sen. Jeff Van Drew in the race to succeed retiring GOP Rep. Frank LoBiondo in New Jersey’s 2nd district.

Van Drew defeated Tanzie Youngblood by a vote of 24 to 5, with Sean Thom receiving one vote.  Will Cunningham, a former Cory Booker Senate staffer, received zero votes.

In the U.S. Senate race, incumbent Bob Menendez won Salem county by a vote of 24-6 against challenger Mitchell Horn.
