Springfield Township Committeeman Christopher Capodice has endorsed Linda Weber for the Democratic nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th district.

“Linda Weber is a friend, a Union County neighbor, and a long-time leader in the community. She understands the needs of Union County because she has deep roots here and has devoted her time and resources to supporting local service organizations, community initiatives, and progressive causes. This week she hosted a roundtable discussion with Union County students on reforming our nation’s gun laws where she used her platform to elevate their voices and leadership,” said Capodice. “Even though Linda had her own campaign to run, she supported Springfield Democrats and my campaign in 2017. She was also a strong supporter of Springfield’s 1st Annual Women’s Leadership Forum where she brought attendees from around Union County and beyond. Congress needs this type of committed and authentic leadership, which is why I proudly endorse Linda Weber for Congress.”

Weber picked up the backing of of Berkeley Heights Councilwoman Susan Poage this week.  Union County Democratic leaders will vote next Wednesday to award the organization line.
