Union County Republicans endorsed their favorite son candidate for United States Senate today, giving Summit’s Bob Hugin the organization line in his bid to unseat Bob Menendez.
Hugin also won the organization line in Salem County.
“Bob Hugin has lived and worked in Union County for many years, and we are thrilled to support him for U.S. Senate,” said Union County Republican Chairman Glenn Mortimer. “Bob’s service to our country in the Marines, his record of job creation in the private sector as CEO and Chairman of Celgene, and his work with several non-profit organizations illustrate his commitment to service. He will be a Senator New Jersey can be proud of.”
In Salem, Republicans also elected a new county chair, Linda DuBois. She replaces Fran Grenier, who resigned last month.
“Salem County Republicans are motivated and ready to work to get Bob Hugin and all of our endorsed candidates elected this November,” DuBois said.
Was it unanimous?
