Forchion to sell weed at statehouse tomorrow

Assembly candidate protests ‘white only marijuana distribution industry’

In what he’s calling an act of civil disobedience, Edward “NJWeedman” Forchion says he’ll sell weed outside the statehouse annex in Trenton at 1 PM tomorrow to call attention to his opposition to making marijuana a “white only marijuana distribution industry” in New Jersey.

Forchion, a frequent candidate for public office, is seeking an unexpired term in the State Assembly from the 15th district in November.

“I submit that an individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for law,” Forchion said.  “I believe I’m unconvictable and I’m willing to publicly take my arguments to a fully informed jury and challenge the validity of this racist unjust law.”
