Tucker says she’s undecided on legal weed

By Nikita Biryukov, March 21 2019 6:11 pm

Assemblywoman Cleopatra Tucker told the New Jersey Globe she was still undecided on marijuana legalization days ahead of a vote on the matter before both chambers of the legislature.

“I am definitely not a yes vote,” Tucker said.

Two sources have told the New Jersey Globe that Tucker would vote to send the legalization bill to Gov. Phil Murphy’s desk.

One said her decision came as a result of lobbying by the governor. Votes on the marijuana bill are scheduled for Monday.

“Whenever I make up my mind,” Tucker said when asked if she had a timeline for her decision on marijuana legalization. “It’s my decision, and you’ll know on Monday.”
