Teamsters Local 469 backed Dover Mayor Jim Dodd’s re-election Friday.
“While the union and the town amy not always agree, Jim Dodd has always addressed issues with the Teamsters in good faith and has been respectful of the workers and the bargaining process,” Local president Frederick Potter said. “Therefore, we are recommending that on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, you vote for Mayor James P. Dodd so that he can continue to work for Dover’s employees and citizens.”
Dodd is mounting an independent re-election bid after losing the support of Morris County Democrats.
He’ll face Alderwoman Carolyn Blackman on Tuesday.
