Pipefitters Local 274 backed Dover Mayor Jim Dodd for re-election Friday.

“Pipefitters local Union 274 is proud to endorse Mayor Jim Dodd for his re-election this November 5, 2019, as he continues to work hard for the working people and their families, making Dover a better place to live and do business,” union treasurer Michael Stiles said in a letter to Dodd.

The mayor is mounting an off-the-line re-election bid after losing the support of the Morris County Democratic Organization.

He faces Alderwoman Carolyn Blackman, the Democratic nominee, in the general.

  1. James Dodd has kissed the ring of George Norcross and /Steve Sweeney. He is not qualified to be Mayor of a town that has over 56% Latino’s and does not have 1 Latino board member or 1 Latino administration worker.
