The New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association endorsed Dover Mayor Jim Dodd Thursday.
“Your record over two decades of public service has proven that you truly care about the people you serve. During this time, you have witnessed how fires and other emergencies can be devastating to a community,” NJ FMBA Eddie Donnelly said in a letter to Dodd.
Dodd is mounting an independent re-election bid after losing the support of the Morris County Democratic Party.
He faces Alderwoman Carolyn Blackman in the general.
“By tripling the staffing levels of the Dover Fire Department and making sure our members have the equipment and training needed, shows your commitment to emergency responders and the community we serve,” Donnelly said.
