Oakland School Board members win re-election unopposed

School tax ballot initiative passes

Oakland School Board members James Gaffney and John Scerbo won re-election unopposed Tuesday.

Gaffney finished first with 1,525 votes. Scerbo got 1,396.

Residents also voted to approve a ballot measure for a school district tax levy of more than $30 million.

The initiative passed 1,085-649.
