Incumbents in Loch Arbour win without contest

Loch Arbour residents re-elected unopposed incumbents in this tiny Monmouth County village of fewer than 200 residents Tuesday.

Commissioners Paul Fernicola, the current mayor, Alfred Cheswick, the deputy mayor, and Denis D’Angelo will each serve three more years on Loch Arbour’s Board of Trustees.

Fernicola won the most votes with 50. D’Angelo ran close behind with 49 votes, and Cheswick rounded out the top three with 47 ballots cast in his name.

Just 137 voters are registered to vote here.

Each of them received a mail-in ballot for Tuesday’s election. Elections officials will accept mail-in ballots until Thursday as long as they are postmarked for today.
