Democrats Katie Dordick and Darlema Bey defeated Republican incumbents Carolyn King-Sammons and James Rambo in Elk Township, flipping both township committee seats and ending Republican control of the governing body.

Dordick received 380 votes, while Bey received 375. King-Sammons received 263 votes, and Rambo received 277.

Bey made another bid for a seat on the Township Committee, joining Dordick in challenging the Republican incumbents. Both Democrats prevailed, delivering a victory for their party in the township.

The results end Republicans’ hold on all Elk Township Committee seats.

Elk has leaned Republican in recent elections. Donald Trump carried the township by 19 percentage points in 2024, while Jack Ciattarelli won Elk by 13 points in 2025.
