Kate Cericola, who ran for Bergen County freeholder in 2019, has been re-elected as chair of the Bergen County Young Republicans.

Tim Walsh, who was elected vice chair, is currently seeking the Republican nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 9th district.  He faces Billy Pompeh, a 30-year-old Air Force veteran, in the race to take on Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-Paterson).

Walsh has been awarded the organization line in Hudson County and is seeking the endorsement of the Bergen County Republican Organization at their convention on March 23.

The other executive board members include former Westwood councilwoman Alyssa Dawson, former Park Ridge mayoral candidate Will Fenwick, and executive director Michael Casey.

Dawson is currently the chief of staff to Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi (R-River Vale).

“Last year was a great year for us as a club with many of our members as candidates for local and county offices,” said Cericola.  “I look forward to continuing that trend as we run more YR candidates in 2020 and continue to help Republicans get elected.
