Since Joe Andl became the county chairman, Burlington County Democrats have been on a tear: they’ve picked up all five seats on the freeholder board and added a county clerk, sheriff, two state senators and a congressman.
So it was no surprise that Andl was re-elected without opposition.
“I just want to thank everyone on the committee for their support over the last ten years,” Andl said following the party’s reorganization meeting. “I hope to continue our successes over the last three years by re-electing our freeholders, our Congressman, and helping elect a new President.”
Evesham Deputy Mayor Heather Cooper was elected vice chair. She replaced Martin Nock.
Two other officers were re-elected: treasurer Brent Lee and corresponding secretary Andrew Katz.
“I’m excited for this opportunity to continue to advocate and strengthen a new generation of Democrats in Burlington County, and to continue to build relationships that can benefit our community,” said Cooper.
