Bergen County Commissioner Joan Voss and former Ridgewood mayor Ramon Hache will likely defeat Republican challengers in the staunchly Democratic county, the new Jersey Globe projects.
Voss, who sought a fourth term, and Hache faced Hasbrouck Heights Councilman Ron Kistner and former longtime Cresskill Councilwoman Simone Tsignounis.
Voss and Hache have an unsurmountable lead. That means Democrats will keep their 7-0 majority on the Board of County Commissioners.
A Democratic victory here was never really in question. The county has 112,605 more Democrats than Republicans.
