New Jersey’s newest legislators have received their committee assignments for the lame duck session.
State Sen. Michael Testa, Jr. (R-Vineland) has been assigned to the Budget and Appropriations Committee and the Labor Committee.
Assemblywoman Aura Dunn (R-Mendham) is serving on the Commerce and Economic Development Committee and the Women and Children Committee.
Testa defeated incumbent Bob Andrzejczak (D-Middle) in a special election to represent the 1st district. His term expires in January 2022.
Dunn won a special election convention to fill the unexpired term of Anthony M. Bucco (R-Boonton). Bucco resigned from the Assembly in October to replace his late father in the State Senate.
In January, Dunn must win another special election convention to fill the unexpired term that Bucco won in November. There will be special elections for Senate and one Assembly seat in November.
