Sweeney to deliver Municipal Innovation Summit keynote speech

Conference scheduled for March 14

The Municipal Innovation Summit will hold its annual conference on March 14 at Bergen Community College, the non-profit announced Wednesday.

Senate President Steve Sweeney will deliver the event’s keynote speech.

“We are confident all attendees will leave with an enhanced understanding of innovative best-practices in municipal government,” Summit chairman Ken DeRoberts said.

DeRoberts’ group is a 501(c)(3) that works to educate municipal officials on best practices and upcoming technologies.

This year’s summit will include sessions on cybersecurity, communication techniques and budget strategies, among other things.
