Senate President Steve Sweeney said he was disappointed by portions of Assembly Minority Leader Jon Bramnick’s law firm website that offered to discredit sexual assault accusers.
“Obviously, it was disappointing,” Sweeney said Monday evening. “Yea, it was disappointing.”
Since the New Jersey Globe first reported on the language on law firm’s site last week, Bramnick has faced fire from Democrats over the page, including from Democrats representing towns and counties in his district.
The language on the pages has since been removed.
Bramnick said they were drafted by an outside firm that he has declined to name.
The onus, he said, was on him to check the language.
