Mandelbatt declines Morris Dem line

Democratic Assembly candidate Lisa Mandelblatt will eschew the Democratic organization line in Morris County and run separately with Stacey Gunderman.

The decision follows Gunderman’s upset loss at last night’s Morris County Democratic convention to Jill LaZare.  LaZare will now run alone on the line in the June primary.

Mandelblatt was the top vote-getter at the Morris convention.  She is running with Gunderman, the New Providence Democratic municipal chair, in Union County.  Somerset has decided to hold an open primary.
