John Catalano elected to NJ State Assembly

McGuckin wins fifth term in 10th district

The New Jersey Globe is projecting that Republican John Catalano, a former Brick councilman, has won an open seat in the New Jersey State Assembly.

Republican Greg McGuckin was re-elected to a fifth term.

Catalano captured the seat of Republican David Wolfe, who is retiring after 28 years as an assemblyman.

McGuckin and Catalano have defeated Democratic State Committeewoman Eileen Della Volle and Erin Wheeler, the president of a local teachers union.

Republicans have held the 10th district seats since 1991.
