Draeger joining Bhimani in LD25 Assembly bid

Darcy Draeger, who was Rep.-elect tom Malinowski’s Morris County Campaign Chairwoman, is running for Assembly in the 25th legislative district alongside Lisa Bhimani. who nearly ousted State Sen. Tony Bucco in 2017.

Draeger, who is also Chester Township’s Democratic municipal chair, will run against Incumbent Assemblyman Anthony Bucco and whoever Morris County Republicans run to fill retiring Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll’s seat.

Carroll, who has held the seat since 1996, is not running for reelection and is instead planning a bid for Morris County Surrogate.

A primary fight over a Republican replacement for Carroll is expected, but so far only Denville Councilman Brian Bergen has entered the race.
