Assembly candidate Christine Clarke pledged to refuse donations from fossil fuel companies Monday.
“Anthropogenic climate impacts are causing real harm here in New Jersey and around the world,” Clarke said. “Pollution is exacerbating the displacement crisis by way of food and water scarcity, floods and wildfires, elevated risk of severe weather events, and more. Millions of people have already had to move this year.”
Clarke previously served as environmental director for Action Together New Jersey.
She’s and her running mate, Laura Fortgang, face Assemblyman Jay Webber and Assemblywoman BettyLou DeCroce in the general.
