Senator’s mother dies

Anita Wielechowski, the mother of Alaska State Senator Bill Wielechowski, died on April 9.  She was 87.  She taught at Newton High School and was a member of the New Jersey Education Association.  Her son, a graduate of Seton Hall University Law School, was elected to the State Senate in 2006 from an Anchorage-based district.

Jason Malone, a detective for the Camden County Prosecutor’s office, died on April 3.  He was 46.
