Former councilmen from Essex, Union die

Carl Wronko, who served on the Fairfield Township Council from 1975 to 1986, passed away on January 29.  He was 97.  He served as president of the Fairfield Republican Club.

Charlie Bohanek, a former Carteret councilman and fire commissioner, died on January 25.  He was 97.

Patchie Cromer, who served as president of the Magnolia Democratic Club, passed away on January 28.  Her father, Samuel Patterson – called “Handshaking Sam” – was the longtime Sheriff of Mount Airy, North Carolina.

Robb Arent
, a former Frenchtown councilman, died on January 9.  He was 54.
