Today is Phil Murphy’s 52nd day in office. He’s hands-on, touring parts of the northwestern New Jersey after the snowstorm, and he’s ordered the Board of Public Utilities to launch an investigation into the response of utility companies after 225,000 New Jerseyans are still without power. He actually gets a check plus-plus for not hiring Randy Mastro and Gibson Dunn to handle the probe.
(The New Jersey Globe will give Murphy a grade every day — either a check, a check plus, a check minus, or an incomplete. He’ll get a letter grade every week.)
