Helmy Departure: Mike Hellstrom

Laborers’ International Union of North America Vice President and Eastern Regional Manager Mike Hellstrom issued the following statement today on the departure of George Helmy as Gov. Phil Murphy’s chief of staff:

“George Helmy is a man whose word is trusted and whose judgement is valued. You can’t ask for much more than that from a chief of staff, though “more” is exactly what George delivered. I appreciate both the opportunity to work with him and for all that he has done to improve the lives of LIUNA members, their families, and all New Jerseyans.  George Helmy has earned our thanks and our best wishes for a bright future.”
