The New Jersey State PBA has endorsed Democrat Jeff Van Drew for Congress in New Jersey’s 2nd district.

Van Drew, a longtime state senator, faces Republican Seth Grossman, a former Atlantic County freeholder, in a race for the open seat of retiring Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-Ventnor).

“The choice before voters in the 2nd Congressional District is clear. Jeff Van Drew is a bipartisan leader who is passionately committed to the people in this District.  His leadership on public safety issues in Trenton made his endorsement by the State PBA simple as well,” said Patrick Colligan, the state PBA president.  “Jeff Van Drew has fought for expanding rights and protections for corrections officers and he has successfully sponsored numerous bills to ensure law enforcement officer and the public safety is New Jerseys first priority.  We are proud to endorse him. The Congress, New Jersey and his District will benefit from electing Jeff Van Drew.”
