Morris County Sheriff James Gannon has endorsed incumbents Doug Cabana, Tom Mastrangelo and Kathy DeFilippo for re-election to the Board of Freeholders.

“Morris County needs leaders who understand the value of a dollar and what it takes to balance budgets, leaders who will bring a commonsense conservative approach to our county’s government,” said Gannon. “Doug, Tom and Kathy’s proven record of protecting Morris County taxpayers, by passing responsible budgets including three straight years of no tax increases and reducing debt by over $55 million, demonstrates their strong commitment to taxpayers while at the same time providing to my Office of the Sheriff the necessary funding and support to fight the war on the opioid epidemic.”

Nearly 200 Republican elected officials have now endorsed Cabana, Mastrangelo and DeFilippo, who are now running as a team with Gannon, Assemblywoman Betty Lou DeCroce (R-Parsippany), Assemblyman Anthony Bucco (R-Boonton) and Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll (R-Morris Township), who is seeking the GOP nomination for Morris County Surrogate.
