Ted Lieu, a two-term congressman from Los Angeles, has endorsed Josh Welle for Congress in New Jersey’s 4th district.

“This is a critical election year for Americans to make a statement and put our country back on track. Josh is a strong candidate and is going to succeed when he shares his values of integrity, justice and equality with the voters of New Jersey. I’m proud to support him and would be proud to serve with him in Congress,” said Lieu.

Lieu served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and is now a Colonel in the Air Force Reserve.  Welle is an Annapolis graduate and U.S. Navy veteran.  He faces former Asbury Park councilman Jim Keady for the chance take on nineteen-term Rep. Chris Smith (R-Hamilton) in the fall.
