The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has endorsed Jay Webber for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th district.
“The U.S. Chamber is proud to endorse Jay Webber for Congress, a committed leader who knows that government shouldn’t stand in the way of economic growth and job creation,” said Geoff O’Hara, Vice President of Regional Affairs and Advocacy for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “New Jersey’s business community could use an ally like Webber in Washington, and we look forward to the work he’ll do to lower taxes, curb regulations, and foster innovation.”
Webber faces Democrat Mikie Sherrill, a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot and assistant U.S. Attorney, in the race for a seat being vacated by a retiring Republican congressman, Rodney Frelinghuysen. Independent polls put this race within the margin of error.
“Every day in America, people wake up in a country that is freer and more prosperous than the day before, and it’s because of good policies that reward hard work, incentivize investment, and encourage smart risk taking,” Webber said. “I will be an advocate for those policies in Congress, and I know the Chamber will be a partner in advancing an agenda that makes New Jersey and our country better for everyone.”
