Super PAC ad links Hugin to Trump

Says Hugin could be the ‘deciding vote’ on president’s agenda

The Senate Majority PAC (SMP) has released a new TV ad saying that Bob Hugin might be Donald Trump’s deciding vote and right hand man in the United States Senate.

“A vote for Pharma CEO Bob Hugin is a vote for Donald Trump’s extreme direction of our country, and that is a dangerous prospect for New Jersey families,” said Hannah Hurley, spokesperson for SMP. “Bob Hugin would be Trump’s deciding vote; allowing him to strip health care from New Jerseyans in need, pass tax breaks for the wealthiest at the middle class’s expense and confirm extreme judges like Brett Kavanaugh. The stakes are too high for the people of New Jersey to elect Trump’s right hand man Bob Hugin to the Senate.”

The script: “The deciding vote for Donald Trump’s agenda. That’s Big Pharma executive Bob Hugin. Hugin would give the right-wing control of the Senate. Where they’ll pass tax giveaways to Big Pharma and corporate special interests. Vote with Trump to take away health care and gut protections for people with preexisting conditions. Hugin even said he’d vote for right-wing judge Brett Kavanaugh.  Don’t let Bob Hugin be Trump’s deciding vote.  The stakes are just too high.”

The super PAC originally had ties to Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid and Susan McCue, a major Democratic fundraiser and Rutgers University trustee.
